Feds Warn That October 7 Anniversary Could Bring Jihad Attacks in the U.S.

 

Although they've spent the last four years pretending that "white supremacists" constituted the nation's biggest terror threat, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the National Counterterrorism Center took some time Wednesday to try to strengthen their increasingly tenuous acquaintance with reality.  They issued a joint intelligence bulletin warning that Islamic jihadis might "engage in violence" on Monday, Oct. 7, the first anniversary of Hamas' jihad massacre of 1,200 Israelis.

The agencies did not, of course, call them "Islamic jihadis."  As far as the federal government is concerned, there is no such thing as Islamic jihad, and Islam is no more likely to incite its adherents to violence than any other faith, including that of the Amish.  Instead, as CBS News reported Wednesday, the feds warned that the Oct. 7 anniversary "as well as any further significant escalations" in Israel's defensive war "may be a motivating factor for violent extremists and hate crime perpetrators to engage in violence or threaten public safety."  [...]

Oct. 7 Anniversary:  Hamas Leader Wants 'New Fronts' of Jihad

 

To all those delusional individuals who still think that Hamas and its Gazan supporters will ever agree to peaceful arbitration, think again.  In characteristic form, a Hamas leader just called for an expansion of Jihad at the international level.

Hamas, with the financial incentivizing of the Palestinian Authority and the support of the majority of Gazans, plans to wage terrorism on Israel until it is completely wiped off the map.  Oct. 7, as horrific and deadly as it was, presents a preview of what Hamas would like to do to all Israelis.  As the latest refutation of idiotic Westerners' claims that giving Palestinians more land and money will make them stop fighting, Memri reported that a Hamas leader has ambitious plans for expanding jihad ("holy war" in Islam) on the international level as the "duty of Jihad."  [...]

Islamic Scholar Lets Slip the Truth: 'If Preserving Life Had Priority, There Would Be No Jihad'

 

After 9/11, we were inundated with the claims that by this time have become near-universal assumptions: Islam is peace.  Jihadis are just a tiny minority of extremists.  Jihad means a spiritual struggle and is willfully or ignorantly misinterpreted among jihadis.

Yet an Islamic scholar has just offered a succinct and telling enunciation of Islamic values that differs sharply from these claims.  Is he an ignorant, racist, bigoted "Islamophobe" whose views can be easily dismissed?  Hardly.  He is an internationally respected Muslim Brotherhood leader whose words should be carefully pondered in Washington, but they won't be.

The Kuwaiti Islamic scholar Tareq al-Suwaidan, who has been named among the 500 Most Influential Muslims for the last three years, recently enunciated a vision of Islamic values that differs markedly from what we have been told again and again in the West: "Preserving life is not the only objective of the shari'a – these include the preserving of religion, life, lineage, intellect, and property. These are the main objectives of the shari'a."

 

That all sounds reasonable enough, but then al-Suwaidan added, "Which one of these objectives has higher priority?  It is preserving religion, not preserving life.  This is why there is a thing called 'Jihad.'  If preserving life had the priority, there would be no Jihad – we would abolish it.  Preserving religion takes priority over preserving life."  Thus peace, which would preserve life, is not the ultimate goal; Islamization is.  [...]
