So to me this is much more general than just the Hamas terror attacks into Israel (if mods feel otherwise, feel free to put this in the Israel thread).  It is certainly true, people usually show their true colors.  A great example is the racist attitudes of Old Corrupt Joe which shine through all the time.

 

When People Tell You Who They Are, Believe Them

 

On the one hand I think: surely this will be sufficient. Surely this amount of blood will be enough to shake the world awake. Surely no one can equivocate or justify this. As my friend Sarah Haider wrote, “How easy is it to simply condemn targeted violence against civilians? Can there be a lower bar?” 

 

And yet, across the world, people have sunk below it.

 

Here you can watch people gathered at the Sydney Opera House cheering “gas the Jews” and “death to the Jews.” People are rejoicing in the slaughter on the streets of Berlin and London and Toronto and New York. (Scroll down to read our Free Press dispatch on the celebrations in Manhattan.)

Bangladesh:  Islamist Pogroms Against Hindus

 

Following Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's removal from power and her fleeing the country on August 5—a situation resulting from mass student protests—Hindus have experienced deadly attacks by Islamists.

 

Social media is filled with reports of Hindus being raped or murdered, their properties and temples attacked, burnt down, and looted.  Based on statements by Bangladeshi Hindu individuals and organizations, the news website OpIndia confirmed these reports.

"Hindus are subjected to rapes, murders, lynchings, and institutionalized abuse including hospitals not treating Hindu victims.  Their temples have been burnt and they've been abused with 'kafir' (infidel) slurs."

Jihadis launch terror attack from inside prison walls, for Allah's sake and Sharia law
 

Less than a week ago at a high-security penal colony in Russia, four prisoners who identified themselves as the "Mujahideen of the Islamic State" launched a terror attack from inside the compound, taking security officers hostage—slitting a throat, gutting another, and brutally beating the head warden of the prison with a hammer and a bottle.

 

According to Amy Mek's new article out at RAIR Foundation today, the prisoners were armed with knives and "makeshift explosives" that they'd obtained by reportedly bribing prison staff—the ordeal ended when Russian special forces were called up and quickly neutralized the jihadis.

Las Vegas' KLAS reported Thursday that Joshua Robles, 16, has been "accused of plotting an ISIS-inspired terror attack."  After Robles was arrested last November, prosecutors considered him to be so dangerous that they asked that his bail be set at a million dollars; Las Vegas Justice Court Pro Temp Judge Lauren Diefenbach, however, instead decided to set it at $10,000, "adding should Robles post bail, he would be placed on house arrest with electronic monitoring."  Oh.  That'll fix everything.  [...]

You Will Never Understand How Evil They Are

 

Those who grew up in normative Western homes will never understand the evil and depravity of Muslim terrorists.

The execution last week of six Israeli hostages, including one American citizen, is a microcosm of the evil that is truly defining of Islamic terror.  Those who applaud Hamas on campus and go so far as to wear their headgear or demand, "Intifada Revolution," for the most part do not comprehend the depths of moral sickness of those whom they so enthusiastically support.

Way back in the 1970s, there used to be NFL advertisements, "You Make the Call!"  They would show a short play and then give you a few seconds to decide if a receiver was inbounds or if a hit involved roughing the passer and the like.  Then they would come back to give us the actual answer.  So let's try to put ourselves into the tunnel where Hamas terrorists murdered the young Israelis.  Israel just found the shaft to that tunnel: it's in a children's room with animal paintings on the wall and toys on the floor.  The Nazis couldn't touch these guys for evil.  [...]

The 'Muslim Martin Luther' Has Been Convicted of Rape

It is impossible to overstate how shocking this is for those who have praised Ramadan to the skies for so very long.  For many years, Tariq Ramadan was the darling of the Western intelligentsia.  In 2002, Salon hailed him as "the Muslim Martin Luther."  In 2004, Time Magazine listed him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world today.  In 2012, Foreign Policy included him on its list of the top 100 global thinkers "for telling us that Islam and democracy can go together — just when it matters." 
Now those accolades, and the many others that Ramadan received, stand as mute witness to the left's tendency to shower with honors those who tell it what it wants to hear.  [...]

For Some Reason Nobody Has Taken Up This $1,000,000 Offer to Hold Pride Rally in West Bank or Gaza

 

This is a mystery to me.

 

One million dollars is not peanuts, but for some reason, no rainbow ideology group has taken up a legitimate offer of $1 million to hold a gay pride rally in Gaza or the West Bank.

 

It's a mystery because so many of these groups have expressed solidarity with Hamas and the Palestinian authority.  You would think they would be chomping at the bit to show their undying (pun intended) support for their brothers and sisters in arms.  [...]
