So after I got approved and sent to the NVC. I payed both the IV and AOS fee through the portal. My bank showed the amount was withdrawn. When I go to the CEAC portal the status for AOS showed but IV showed processing. I clicked on the fee tab. Both Fee shows paid on the top but if I click the AOS fee it shows in process . . . It's been about 2 weeks I have tried reaching out through the public inquiry but the response basically told me to go fill out the DS-260 but I can't since the home page isn't allowing me.  Do I just have to keep going at the public inquiry until someone responds, or do I just have to wait it out til the website decides to let me through. The strange thing is I was able to temporary get into the IV application on the same day it cleared but the day after it got taken away. I have another case that is in this exact situation. Anyone else also in this same situation?

Update:

I posted a question out top the public inquiry about why my fee status is strange. The response I got was. "The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate action will be taken once this review is completed."
This doesn't make sense since currently as of writing this comment. I only submitted the affricated of support and have not been able to submit the IV application and no civil document was submitted.
On the nvc website I need to submit

Before the National Visa Center reviews your case, you must pay all fees and submit all required documents, such as:

  • Petitioner’s Affidavit of Support;
  • Supporting financial documents;
  • Applicant’s DS-260, and
  • Applicant’s civil documents.

Or is it I am understanding the process wrong that they are locking up the case to review . . . just the affidavit and no updates until after they release it . . .

  • 2 weeks later...

Update:

Looks like the status finally flipped. After asking more question it looks like  there was some more internal review even after the payment was cleared for the status to officially show as cleared on the summary page. For people who end up in this situation  . . . seems like waiting is the only thing you can do. Even though the money has been taken the website doesn't show mention in it's "help me" section that the payment could be in review even after paid.

It does mention it on the website, yours did go quite a bit over the week it says to allow before continuing on to the next step though.
