Are the tax transcripts sufficient for the I-864?

I'm currently filing the i-864 and was wondering if I need both the tax returns or are the tax transcripts enough? 

 

I'm also using a co-sponsor, is using only their tax transcript sufficient?

Transcripts OR copies of your return with the W2's/1099's by themselves are sufficient, but only do one or the other, not both.  Transcripts are easier, so that would be my choice.

With the tax transcripts ,  proof of US residency is needed like state ID or DL

Why?  because its possible to do tax returns while living abroad and put a US address on the return

 

 

I did my US taxes for 2009 from Morocco in march 2010 when i was there to marry

 

Joint sponsor and u both have to show living in the US

That's good to hear, I have my tax transcripts printed and ready to go. I don't want to print out my tax returns, as it's like 35 pages per tax year.
