Time between London medical and visa interview

I'm just wondering if anyone has any info on whether they were able to have their medical a little closer to the interview than the ten business days recommended? Currently it looks like I might not be able to get to London until a week before.

I did follow the 10 business days, but I remember some folks at the time where the medicals hadn't arrived at the embassy yet. In that case, they would just hang on to your passport until they receive the medical info and then go ahead and process the visa. 

 

Might be worth checking with any recent applicants if that's still the case!

When my fiancé had his medical early this month on October 5, he had his interview scheduled for October 16, which was 7 business out. We had seen conflicting information of 5 days and 10 day and met in the middle. At his medical exam, they told him to change the date to the 19th (ten days). He just had his interview and there was no issue with the medical side of things. So I can’t say it’s not possible, but I can say that they didn’t tell him to change it at his medical. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Naty. I've just went ahead and booked for the suggested ten days prior.jusr had to change some plans to make it work. Didn't want to risk any problems as I need to be in the US asap after approval.
