w2 Does NVC want a physical W2 or W2 online transcript?

I’m looking into cases where people get RFE for not having a W2. Does NVC want a physical W2 from an employer or the W2 online transcript from the IRS website?

I honestly cannot remember the specifics from the instructions page now, but it’s right on the website. I believe if you only submit W2 you also need to submit your actual tax return for that year. I added both the tax rtn transcript and W2 for last the 3 years, but just because I’m that kind of person who wants to be extra careful/safe with things. We were DQ’d quickly with no issues.

You just need to submit tax transcript from IRS that is sufficient enough from what year they will required if I’m not mistaken the last 3 year

Yes....OR....a complete copy of the tax return with all schedules, W2s, and 1099s, as applicable.

 

Notice little word OR in the instructions.
