So my RFE was due to my birth certificate. I accidentally sent my “notification of birth” document from the hospital instead of the government issued birth certificate.

Sent the requested documents now so they might adjudicate within 90 days.

Should be an easy fix.

Good luck

Both petitions were approved today. Onto NVC process. Does anybody know what exactly the next steps are? I know with DS-260 generally some local documents like police reports and health checks are required any maybe affidavit of support from me before the interview. Is that all or is there anything I’m missing?

Also wishing luck to anyone still waiting!

The process is laid out step by step here - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html

Curious about something. Does anybody know if there’s a time restriction on flying to the U.S. after getting the LPR with NVC process? I’m not sure if I misunderstood but one of my friends said something about having to land in  the U.S. on LPR before the medical test expires so essentially there’s a limited amount of time within which the (new) resident will need to enter the U.S.

Both the visa and the medical must be unexpired when entering the US. The medical is valid for 6 months .. the expiry date of the visa is on the visa in the passport.

Yes, 6 months. It’s on the page I linked to above - step 12.
