It is welcome news that Sweden's Aid Minister, Benjamin Dousa, has said that Sweden will no longer fund UNRWA, apparently satisfied with Israel's evidence that it has been a HAMAS front.  The Arabs there need not worry, though, because Sweden is going to increase the amount of its aid, only using other agencies.

 

Lucky for them.  However, Israel could help itself by going further and attacking the very idea that the recipients of UNRWA largesse are "Palestinian refugees" entitled to such aid when there are virtually no refugees among them.  And in any case, there is nothing Palestinian about them.  [...]

Gruesome Details Emerge About the Horrific Conditions Faced by Hostages in Gaza

 

The Israeli Health Ministry has compiled a report, detailing the horrific conditions hostages in Gaza have faced at the hands of their Hamas captors, and it's about as gruesome as you can imagine.  Israel plans to submit the report to the United Nations this week.  The information is based on interviews with the personnel who provided medical and other types of care to many of the hostages who were freed in late November 2023.  According to the Jerusalem Post, the report uses pseudonyms to protect their identities.

Men, women, and children were all subjected to both physical and psychological abuse through actions like sexual assault, starvation, branding, water deprivation, withholding necessary medical care, hair pulling, beatings, and various other means of torture.

120 commandos deep inside Syria:  IDF reveals daring raid on Iranian missile factory

 

The Israeli Air Force on Thursday revealed details and footage from one of its most daring and complex commando operations ever, in which 120 members of special forces units raided and destroyed an underground Iranian missile manufacturing plant deep in Syria in September.

At the time, the regime of Bashar al-Assad was still in power in Syria, and Israel had not yet launched its devastating campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Some of the details of the September 8 operation previously reported by foreign media outlets — including the name of the raid — are now known to have been wrong, or slightly incorrect.

The raid — dubbed internally by the Israel Defense Forces "Operation Many Ways" —  was aimed at destroying an underground facility used by Iranian forces to manufacture precision missiles for Hezbollah in Lebanon and for the Assad regime in Syria.

The facility, codenamed by the military "Deep Layer," was dug into a mountain at the Scientific Studies and Research Center, known as CERS or SSRC, in the Masyaf area of Syria, west of Hama.  The site lies more than 200 kilometers (124 miles) north of the Israeli border, and some 45 kilometers (28 miles) from Syria's western coastline.

'All Hell Will Break Loose':  Trump Lays Down the Law for Hamas

 

Joe Biden has failed to secure the release of any hostages held by Hamas in Gaza since November 2023 with the release of Abigail Naftali, the great-niece of Liz Hirsh Naftali.  I don't think it's a coincidence that Naftali is a major Democratic donor, a key Biden campaign supporter, a Biden appointee, and one of the buyers of Hunter Biden's artwork.

Since then, nada.

 

In sharp contrast, Donald Trump held a press conference on Tuesday that showcased his resolve to handle the crisis with strength and decisiveness.  Trump, known for his direct and unflinching style, made it clear that he won't tolerate the kind of ineffectiveness that we have seen under Biden's leadership.  His remarks reinforced his no-nonsense approach, offering a stark difference in leadership as the hostage crisis continues.

"All hell will break out if those hostages aren't back," Trump declared emphatically, sending a message that couldn't be clearer.  He added, "If they're not back by the time I get into office, all hell will break out in the Middle East.  And it will not be good for Hamas and it will not be good, frankly, for anyone."  [...]

Israeli Strike Eliminates Oct. 7 Terrorists

 

An Israel Air Force (IAF) strike has eliminated multiple Gazan jihadis who participated in the horrific Oct. 7 massacre.

The Jerusalem Post reported the news on Jan. 8, that final justice had been served to Oct. 7 jihadis.  The Israeli Intelligence Directorate, the Shin Bet (Israel's counterterrorism agency), and the Southern Command provided intel to accomplish the strike, according to the Jerusalem Post.  After the Palestinian terrorist attack that just killed three Israelis, this successful strike is much-needed good news.  [...]
