A U.S. guided-missile destroyer took out three land attack missiles fired from the shore of Western Yemen on Thursday, U.S. officials confirmed.

USS Carney (DDG-64) “shot down” the three missiles and a number of drones from Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen, according to Pentagon officials.

“This action was a demonstration of the integrated air and missile defense architecture that we have built in the Middle East and that we are prepared to utilize whenever necessary to protect our partners and our interests in this important region. There were no casualties to U.S. forces and none that we know of to any civilians on the ground,” Pentagon press

Actually they do not, well maybe better to say there are fewer schisms not none. 

 

I saw something that access to the VWP kicks in soon, end of November? And was contemplating what that could do.

 

This is not 1947, 1968 etc etc. And as I have mentioned I do not see a good future. Now if I was an Israeli Palestinian I would not be too happy about the crazies taking over. Sunshine and Light does not seem a likely end. I am sure the Gulf States, Saudi etc are concerned, a difficult tightrope to walk. Egypt being a classic example. Just as likely to take them down.

 

Quite a few Israeli Citizens have dual citizenships, quite a few have skill sets that would help migrate. 

 

Inevitably I look to what happens in the US, UK, Europe and it is not looking good. Somethings are sort of funny, like Universities and their Be Kind, Safe Spaces, Diversity and Inclusivity etc that collapse at the first push. Who could see that coming?

 

I do know there are too many moving parts, too many variables. I am not a big fan of Alternative History but am quite aware that things we take for granted could have gone very different ways. There just seem multiple issues which even strong societies would have issues with and then you add weakness and it just gets more volatile.

Officers at the ceremony were talking about this. Overheard it started yesterday immediately in fact. Had quite a few Israelis and those from middle eastern countries in the room. All were so happy and engaged with each other, as unified new Americans.
