Yesterday, I heard Alan Dershowitz say that Hamas is building new hospitals on top of tunnels.  He calls them "Hamaspitals".

Probably could also go in the Ukraine thread, but seemed a little more appropriate here.  I also noticed the discrepancy in how Old Corrupt Joe is treating the two conflicts, but of course he is a career politician.

And there is no one, no issue, the president won't sell out for votes. This is why the administration sends emissaries to pacify the people who cheered the Oct. 7 attack. This is why the White House leaks snippets of Biden insulting Israel's (elected) leader in a way he would never think to attack Volodymyr Zelensky or Mahmoud Abbas or even the Iranian mullahs.

 

While backing Ukraine allows Democrats to virtue signal about their love of "democracy," turning on Israel allows them to appease the growing anti-Western sentiment of their base. It's only going to get worse in the coming years.

Similar reason why there are no more punitive sanctions against Iran. If Ol’ Joe clamps down on Iran’s source of revenue, oil, prices will go up, just before an election, which is bad, bad, very bad.

 

So he would rather appear weak and stay in power, than do the right thing and make the world a safer place.

It does seem our current administration is sending mixed signals to Israel.  Not really surprising considering the total chaos in the WH.

 

 

Israel Prepares to Go It Alone

 

Biden has spent decades, of course, getting into rows with Israeli leaders, and he’s been on the wrong side of many of them—including recently, as we’ve written here. He is neither more Catholic than the pope nor more Israeli than the Israelis. It’s just that there seems to be one line that Biden cannot be pressured to cross, and that is forcing Israel to stop fighting when it cannot afford to.

 

He will almost certainly be the last Democratic president, at least for some time, who is able to withstand the immense pressure from within his party and cross that line. In truth, I can’t think of a president of either party who has been hounded by his own party over Israel the way Biden has been. His vice president and presumed successor, Kamala Harris, clearly cannot wait to fold.

 

And the Israelis seem to have noticed. Yediot Ahronot reports that Israel went on a shopping spree to stock up on U.S.-made rifles while also setting into motion plans to build similar versions domestically to ease its reliance on American weapons. Israel will also produce a domestic line of bombs for its air force.
