QUESTION ON TRANSFER NOTICE...TIMELINE

We recently filed the I-485 AOS and went to the biometircs appointment in our home town (Milwaukee, WI).

A couple of weeks ago we received a transfer notice stating that our case had been transferred to the California Service Center, Laguna Niguel, CA.

I was thinking that we could track the progress of our case using the statistic under the AOS section of the timelines, but now i am notsure where to go. There is a listing for Milwaukee but none for Laguna Niguel.

Where on this website can I go to track our case?

Thanks!

California Service Center, Laguna Niguel, CA as the name suggest.....is a USCIS Service Center.(Milwaukee, WI) is a District Office.

If you havent already done so, register with USCIS online so you can track your AOS to see its progress. Or you can just find the status of your case online by checking your receipt number online if you dont want to register.

Good luck with your journey

CSC will either approve the AOS and have a card issued or set up an interview date with your local office. Good luck

Hi, you can try and register your information at the website listed http://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp

However, the information is not continuously updated. For example, after submitting my application, there were changes as to my receipt date and notice date. I then went and did my biometrics, the dates were changed indicating that the applications were being processed but the original message online remains the same.

Since my biometrics and the date changes I see online for the bio, nothing else is reflected there. However, last week I received my Adjustment of Status interview date through the mail. This is not reflected on the Website so it is kind of "iffy" as to what is being done behind the scene.

My location is New York City. I hope this helps.

Hmmm, I thought that once you got transfered to CSC that meant you will not get an interview, just GC.

If you were to get an interview MSC would send the case to the local office, which in the OP case it did not.

Transfer to CSC is a good thing, and much quicker!

Unfortunately, it is not true that CSC is always quicker. Now there have been some people who, after being transferred, were approved with lightening speed. However; it seems to be the case more and more that CSC tranferes are taking just as long, if not longer than those waiting for an interview.
