Hi,

I don't understand it. I faxed my Checklist and Forms required for Packet 3 over 3 weeks ago and I have not gotten a Packet 4 notice for an interview date yet and my wedding date is approaching fast (Oct 6th)...what do I do?

Thank you...

A little panic-y.

Unfortunately, you may have to look for alternatives at this point. There is a waitlist for an interview at MTL which is about four to six months. :(

Another solution is to get your interview transferred to the Vancouver consulate, but you'll have to show extenuating circumstances and proof of living/working in the jurisdiction in order for them to consider a transfer. Before there was always a stronger chance of getting a case transferred but in the past few months they've cracked down on "unnecessary transfers".

Three weeks... for me it's been 3 months... there's a 4.5-6 or so backlog in Montreal, so if you're going through Montreal, you can't expect to get your Packet 4 anytime soon unless they suddenly speed up. They were just going through people who sent back their Packet 3's back in February and early March, and there is someone from late March still waiting for an interview date. I'm in late April and am not expecting to get my interview until October. We'er not setting a date yet - it would be impractical when we don't even know when our interview will be!
