Don't hold your breath. VSC just got your I129F like the day before yesterday. The touch was them putting it away. You will probably make great progress on your I130 at NVC before seeing an approved I129F. Neel and Jenna had theirs at the same service center for quite some time, so the touch indicated something more than it leaving the receiving area. VSC approved your I130 without even knowing where your I129F was.

On a side note, man I wish I was at VSC. At the blackhole in California, they are barely cranking out march filers, and at VSC, they have approved several VJers who were late May filers and a few June filers. Did they dump all of their old petitions on CSC in March and they have nothing to do at VSC now but what they got in May and June? This is depressing (for us CSCers, not so much for the VSCers).

Hey guys ,

just to bring you more hope , I'll add here that we got our NOA2 for the I130 on Monday too. We also got a touch on the I129F on the same day but no news yet . maybe ( i pray to God ) it will be also approved .

I am a june filer for the I130 so maybe that will bring some light on the dates they are working on .

Sincere congratulations to the ones who are approved and God speed for the rest of us .

:)

I feel ya, man.

I am sorry you are so down

i know we are all depressed and all this immigrating journey  is killing our nerves ...

i thought it would be the transfer touch , but then again hope dies last .

you said i'll make progress with the i130, from what i heard if you file for k3 they will retain the i130 even if it's approved and not work on it until the i129f is approved ...i don't know ...maybe you could advise on that if you know more details ...please

i hope we all get what we wait for as soon as possible

good luck

I don't think they will hold your I130, they should forward it soon to a Service center and then you should follow James short cuts to (do a search for these in the forum) so you can get your Interview soon. Your I129 will try to catch up but most probably you will have your visa (better visa cause of green card) before I129 gets to the consulate.

Good luck

If the I130 and the I129F gets approved at or about the same time they hold the I130 at USCIS, and only the I129F goes forward. They need to pair up the petitions for this to happen. They are trying to make this the norm, and it will be easier as most K3 filers will file the petitions together in the same package. But, in cases where they approve the I130 alone, it too goes to NVC. There are many VJers in this circumstance. Under the old system of sending the petitions separately, the service center does not know that you will really file an I129F regardless of what you put on the cover letter until they receive it. So, when they approve the I130 before the pairing, its like approving a I130 for CR-1 and it will move on its as will the I129F when approved.

i didn't know that ...i thought that if i stated in the cover letter that we intended to file for k3 it would be reason enough to retain the i130 ...i am sorry ...i think i misunderstood ...

that sounds ok , meaning that i am already waiting for the i129 to be approved , in the mean time we'll see where the i130 goes ...

i really hope you get your approvals soon :)

So true Urge.. Dont I wish I was a VSC filer too... :) but seeing the recent CSC NOA2s gives me some hope.

Now lets just hope that this recent up-tick in CSC approval is NOT temporary and more like a regular trend. I hope they dont follow the path where they approve some and then hibernate the whole process AGAIN and then they go off to work on other Family/EB apps and petitions... Maybe u can call me a pessimist but its hard to see "a glass half-full" when u are dealing with USCIS... shhhh I dint say that...

Anyhow, goodluck and TC
