Submitted our original i29f application on apirl 17 this year. Wasn't expecting anything back until next year. I never got my NOA1, just a text message with my reciept number.
Got this message today. i don't understand what's going on? I submitted a new e-request under "other" form. Why would they cancel my i29f?
I never got anything in the mail or email, just the text.
I'm not sure why I would never have gotten their mail? I checked, had numerous people send me mail and I get mail just fine.
Thanks ahead of time.

This seems like a clerical error.   An undeliverable notice of receipt shouldn’t result in a cancelled petition.

Do they have your correct current mailing address?   This may be one of the times that a call to USCIS could be in order.

I would also notify them in writing that you want the petition to remain active.

Yeah, i quadruple checked paper work. just checked it again. even had other people check it before. i guess i'll have to call them. I'm not really sure what to do. I don't understand why they would just up and cancel it out of nowhere like that?

The right thing to do is to follow their instructions.  But if you use the uscis online chat or call USCIS (ask for infopass to talk to a rep), although they will not tell you the address on file, you can give them your name and address and they will verify if it matches. This might give you a clue as to what might have happened.

We have had the same situation except we received a second NOA1 before this status change as we (rightly) assumed the first one got lost in the post after not seeing it after over 30 days of waiting so we really didn't need this...

We have now had to call UCSIS about this as we have also been told our application will be cancelled in April if we don't do anything.

There are ALOT more people than you think with this kind of status change so don't panic.

We are currently waiting on some correspondence and our issue has been assigned to an officer as the form has been filled out twice by USCIS agents on the phone but nothing come through and we know for a fact it isn't our address. We just want our status changed back since we have a copy of the NOA1 already.

Just call every 30 days like they ask you to. I am sure it will be changed back to 'case received' in time. If they do cancel despite you following instructions, it's not your fault it will purely be theirs and I am sure that will be grounds to expedite a new i-129f...
