Yeah I know but I’ve seen conflicting info about the certification of birth certificates. On the uscis website itself it just says a COPY of the birth certificate.

That is why Mike posted the link to the reciprocity schedule for NZ documents.

Yes there are many Places that can do on the spot marriage certificates. You will have to check to see where you live.

As for the BC. What did you use to get the K1? It would be the same one you need for AOS.

I used a copy with certified translation because original wasn't in English.

At the interview, I showed the original.

I'd follow that visa reciprocity link @Mike E provided

If your BC looks like what USCIS expects, you should be fine. Don't send the original, only certied copy or scan. You won't get anything original back from USCIS.

I’d make 100% certain that it was a certified copy of the marriage  certificate.  Our “on the spot” marriage certificate was a commemorative one, similar to the souvenir “birth certificate” the hospital gives you when you have a baby.

Suitable for framing, but not a legal document.  YMMV.

Come over to Vegas, and I can get you married and a certified copy of your marriage certificate in under an hour start to finish. Monday thru Friday, the days the clerks office is open and I can record the marriage. Birth certificate is another story, but I would just send a copy with the I-485, and make sure you have an original to show for the AOS interview. I send a Certified Original marriage certificate with the wifes 485 when I did it, and copies with the EAD/AP applications with no issues. And when we went to the AOS interview I saw the original marriage certificate as the IO flipped thru the file, couldn't miss the colorful certificate in all the bland black and white copies of everything.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!
