K1 Visa Interview Wait times

I am an American engaged to a Moroccan. We submitted our Visa application in January 2022. We received notification from the NVC on July 8, 2023 that the NVC had processed our application and sent it to the consulate in Casablanca. We have not heard anything since then. Does it normally take this long for the consulate to reach out and schedule an interview? Should I be worried something is wrong? I emailed the consulate a week ago but have not received a reply. Is there any way to verify the status of our application or get some kind of information on when the interview might take place?

Has the Moroccan completed the ds 160  so you can schedule interview?

My girlfriend is in China, hers only took 10 days. NVC notified us on July 10, 2023, she received package from consulate on July 20, 2023.

after the ds 160 is fillled out online,  u schedule the interview

 

Scheduling an appointment online

1. Choose “Immigrant Visa”, then click “Continue”.
2. Choose “K1 Visas – Appointment Scheduling/Rescheduling and Fee payment”, then click “Continue”.
3. Select “K1 – Fiance or Fiancee of U.S. Citizen”, then click “Continue”.
4. Fill in all the required fields, then click “Continue”.
