I am a green card holder, and I applied visa for my spouse who lived outside US. After successful interview, she came to US. Here we got her card after few months with fx1 category valid for 10 years. That’s great, but I was initially expecting 2 years visa (cr1) so wanted to double check that this is fine. Is it common to get 10 year visa and is she eligible to work with this? Or is there any other follow up process I need to do.

Thanks

~~~Topic moved to General Immigration discussion where post Us Entry GC questions are discussed.~~~
CR1 = spouses of US citizens
FX1 = spouses of lawful permanent residents
so the category is correct . As for the validity, were you married for 2 or more years at the time of spouse’s entry to the US?
