Address change while I-751 is pending?

My wife's 751 case has been pending since 2018 after 2 interviews (1 regular, 1 stoke - last stoke interview was in 2020). They've kept us in limbo for almost 5 years now ...

Anyhow, wife has a new job opportunity in which she has moved (since Sept) and will stay in a different state for a year, while I'll stay at our current address for work. Should she file an AR-11 to update the address on file if the move might not be permanent? We will still get mails and notices here at our house. If don't update and USCIS finds out that we live separately, will that cause an issue later on?

I was going to say time to sue but probably not.

AR11 if memory serves me has to be filed within 10 days

Based on OP's history, the I-751 is unlikely going to be approved... I think it's been heading to for denial a long time now. Maybe USCIS is waiting for the marriage to fall apart.

Yep.  Jim Hacking often claims that USCIS does that.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Jim says a lot of weird things but this case to be fair is unusual.

Yeah funny you say that. I’ve noticed he is excessively negative and cautious to the point of putting absolute fear into people over their situations, which in my opinion is not called for or necessary. I’m sure he is a good lawyer though.

But yes, this case sure sounds like it needs some help. Hope they get it approved.

I think his Wife is the brains, he found his niche in WoM, just had a notification he is doing a 10am pop up, well my time, in half an hour

I think it's natural for a lawyer to be careful and cautious. Any tiny error / false optimism / overpromise can lead to significant changes in client's immigration path.

It's better be on this side of spectrum than the other.

Immigration is a minefield or choppy waters of open South Pacific Ocean. Not a walk in a park IMHO and should be taken with great level of preparedeness.'

Hacking may draw situations a bit scarier thab they are, but you gotta discount that, he's trying to make $$$$

Yeah those are good points.

just personally think he goes a bit overboard sometimes and is probably causing a lot of folks some severe anxiety when it’s not needed. I mean the other day someone just said “I got an RFE for my 751” and he put the fear of god into them saying how unusual it is and should never ever get an RFE etc…which seems very untrue from what I have seen on here and elsewhere. Plenty of folks get RFEs and it doesn’t mean anything particularly bad a majority of the time.

Just my opinion anyways :)

Again?
Your wife had a child by another man, spent several months during her pregnancy away with her brother, you had three  interviews for your 751, you had a stoke interview in 2020…another interview sometimes later.  Three years after filing nothing has been approved, and she’s moved to another State? Dude, quit playing with fire
