The "welcome letter" is missing the invoice number!

We received the welcome letter from NVC. Also our case number status is "Ready" in CEAC. we're about to sign the DS-160. My 2 questions are:

Why my NVC letter is missing the invoice number? How can I pay the fees then? both for DS160 and Aff. of support. Where can I find my invoice number?

When and how we will receive an interview scheduled date? I mean does it just happen when we submit the DS-160 form? or we need to wait for local embassy to send us an interview date?

You are confusing the procedures for an immigrant visa with a non-immigrant visa (K-1).  K-1s do not need an invoice number.  There are no CEAC fees for a K-1. 

Unless this is an expedited case, the consulate, generally, does not assign interview dates.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You have to schedule the interview on your own with the embassy. Read the thread that Crazy cat posted. It give you all the details and steps necessary.
