USCIS Approval, what next?

Hey Guys- i have filed for spouse and helped others file prior to the pandemic. So, for my parents, they got approval from USCIS on september 16. I was trying to call NVC today but seems like that "NVC process" thread on Visajourney is also dated. What happens now? they take emails from uscis forms? and we dont need to call and update anymore? they send welcome email and no point calling or trying to find the NVC Case number and IIN? i assume ds261,ds260 paying both bills  and rest remains fairly straight forward and same? Please advise. or should i start posting an email to NVC weekly already? closing in on 2 weeks from intitial uscis approval notice/NOA2. Just need Case numbers to start and see if/when we can fill ds 261 and whatever first invoice comes up? and the coversheets/barcoded sheet? Thanks.

 

Mailed I-130 overnight-8/28/2013

Delivered to the USCIS PO Box Chicago 8/29/2013

NOA1 date-8/29/2013 Got as of 9/4/2013

Transfer Date : 2/24/2014

Transferred to Vermont

NOA2 3/7/2014

NVC received 3/19/2014

Case number Assigned 4/18/2014

DS-261 filed 4/26/2014

AOS paid 4/28/2014

AOS shows paid 4/30/2014

IV paid 4/30/2014

AOS and IV packages overnighted sent 5/2/2014

Packages at NVC 5/5/2014, system date of 5/7/2014

Case Complete 6/2/2014

Interview assigned 6/11/2014

Interview 7/18/2014 at Mumbai, India

POE 8/28/2014

Twins-7/19/2015 (Boy and Girl)!!

I-751 mailed in 6/1/2016 (two day priority)

NVC does not accept phone calls anymore.  The DS-261 has not been needed for 7 years.  NVC will contact you with case and invoice numbers to pay fees and submit other forms.

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you. so i guess no point hounding calling or emailing them until they email or send a physical mail. in those days, it was helpful and time saving. thanks.

Absolutely no point in contacting them, you just need to be patient and wait for the Welcome Letter (which will come via email as CC has said). If they were only approved on 16th Sept, then there's still a way to go - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
