1. Are you under age 18?

2. Are you under age 21?

3. Is your brother age under age 16?

My brother is 17 while I'm 22 but both our case category is IR2

Your brother’s case is higher priority because if DoS does not get its scat together, it will issue him a visa after he turns age 18. If so, he will not automatically be a U.S. citizen.

If he gets his visa before  age 18, then he must enter the U.S. before age 18.

Hi

my ceac changed from refused to administrative processing after embassy asked for passport but for my brother his status is still refused

our ceac is not getting update since administrative processing

it would help the VJ community if there was a timeline and the embassy was ID"d

but refused and AP  are the same

u seem to respond to Pakistan posts and if u are from there ,  AP is a long process for the extra security checks as the country is not good at record keeping

Good luck to u

Perfectly normal. There's nothing you can do but wait for them to do their checks unfortunately.

it would give an update when the embassy sent out a request for info and will again when a document is recd but u will hear nothing about issued or denial until all needed info has been recd by embassy
