It's not making sense that you would need a SSN. How do couples from other countries get married in the USA/Florida??

Maybe print out whatever you find that staes that the A# is fine and take it to the courthouse, that might help?

try in a different county. i just read an article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, yeah i know, its a different state, that was saying that a K-1 was turned down for his marriage license for the same reason, and they had to do a cheesy wedding in vegas. when they got home, they learned that they only had to go to the next county over because that was the only particular county that thought they were following federal law. It depends on how each county interprets the law previously posted about using the SSN to track people who are supposed to pay child suupport.

call around to licensing places in different counties, that way you can still have your ceremony in the same state.

i just got married on thursday in Washington State, and no SSN for my husband either.
