Here is some of what my doctor wrote for my NVC expedite request, Names have been taken out.

Any chance this gets approved:

I’ve been treating xxxxx (US Air Force Veteran) for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) since 2012.  He is rated 100% Permanent and Totally disabled with aid and attendant required, through the Department of Veterans Affairs and is on Social Security Disability Insurance.

xxxxxxxx spouse (xxxxxxxxxxx) is his aid and attendant.

She is required due to, xxxxxxxx being so helpless that he is in need of regular aid and attendance while not hospitalized at US government expense to help protect him from the hazards or dangers incident to his daily environment. His major symptoms include:

Persistent danger of hurting others

Suicidal ideation

Near-continuous depression affecting the ability to function independently, appropriately and effectively

Persistent danger of hurting himself

Near-continuous panic affecting the ability to function independently, appropriately and effectively

Impaired impulse control

Current medications are:  Lithium Carbonate 300mg x3 daily and Risperidone 2mg X2 daily

A decent chance, yes.  All you can do is try and you'll find out.  You did take out the name of your "attendance" provider. If the name removed is that of your current spouse, then the letter is a lie, as she is not in the USA.  If you are also outside the USA and she IS taking care of you, she can continue until she gets her visa without expedite.

If it is somebody else in that role, what's the hurry to replace her?  This is not clear from what you posted.

If disabled for 11 years, why would the spouse be the one who is needed so immediately now? Someone must have been the caretaker this whole time. That would just be my question if I was the one reviewing the expedite request.

I would be worried about the comment "persistent danger of hurting others". The PI has before denied a visa due to a possible risk to the immigrant. I would be very careful.

My thought is that it may look like you are bringing a caretaker and not a spouse.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
