Voter registration? Oath cert still with passport office

Hello,

I have read conflicting things about voter registration, looking for advice on what I need to do.

I currently do not have my naturlisation certificate, it is with the passport office. I do not expect to see it for at least another couple months if the timelines given to me by the passport office are correct. Do I need my certificate to register? I have been told elsewhere I just need my driving license.

Thanks

Depends on your state of residence.

Try registering online with a scan of your certificate.

I went ahead and registered without my oath certificate just using my drivers license. I just checked and I am now registered to vote. I am in Texas.
