Hello people,

I have a question:

Between 2022 and 2023 I stayed pretty much 10 months outside the US  - in Europe

My last entry was in July 2023 in Orlando FL.  CPB got a little frustrated with me and asked me if I still live in the US and if I would leave again soon. I said that I wouldn't . He was a -little -"upset" but I entered the country.

2 days after I entered the country I filed for a Reentry Permit. I waited for the receipt to arrive  and left the US again after a few weeks. Fingerprints were Waived.

My reentry permit is Pending. I believe its gonna take more than 1 year to get approved/ denied.

Im studying in Europe and probably gonna be here for the next 2  years. My boyfriend stays in Florida and he can't travel that much, so my plan was to visit him every 3 months or so....

The problem is : after my previous encounter with CBP I want to avoid problems, so do you think its OK for me to be traveling to the US every 3 months - before RP approved / After RP approved? Or its better to just wait Reentry Permit to get approved and come to the US -  only if necessary- ( ---to avoid many encounters with CBP--- )?

Thank you

I don’t understand why you’re living in Europe if you have a GC?   You were rightly questioned on that entry.   You want to use your GC as a B visa, so obviously that is getting high scrutiny.

It would have been had you not told the CBP officer officer something that was not true:

If you continue this pattern, you may be put in removal by CBP and rightfully so:
