I had my interview july, and my application was approved the same day and was given a paper saying my case was approved.. It has been two months now that I have been waiting for the Oath Ceremony Letter, but I have not heard anything. I am from southern illinios and I have seen my county held two naturalization ceremony already. USCIS office was in St Louis, MO. Anyone had a similar case who filed for N-400 in southern IL? I am hoping I am not going to wait for more than 3 months to take the Oath Ceremony. I have travel plans February of 2024 and was hoping I'll be citizen by then :( passports takes months to arrive too.

So sorry you’re going through this. Out of curiosity, what does your online status say?
I’m in Florida, and my FO is Montgomery, AL. My story is almost identical to yours. I had my interview on 7/11 and was recommended for approval. They were having “system issues” so they couldn’t naturalize me that day. Haven’t heard Jack from them since. I’ve tried calling, sending a letter to the FO and sending a message to USCIS via their inbox, but to no avail.
They are legally obligated to give you a decision 120 days after your interview, but apparently that’s not enforced unless you take those incompetent ####### to court.
Again, I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. It’s absolutely unacceptable and enraging. I feel your pain.

7/11 was just 11 days ago. No need to send  letters, call etc. Sometimes there's no capacity. So, just wait. You're already at the finish line. No need to start a court case over this.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Not changing name, and my case is not complicated as well.

Maybe there's a backlog and those 2 Oath ceremonies were for people who had their N400 months before you. Just wait. If you get your certificate right before travel, even better. Get emergency PP appointment and have PP within same day or 3 days max.

My status change the day of my interview to "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for time, and location of your oath ceremony....." the officer during my interview mentioned waiting time is around a month, but never really heard after two months now. I tried calling but all they say they can't do anything as it hasn't been 120 days. It's frustrating and the fact that i see some people interviewed after me already got their oath.

Aaaa my apologies. I read it as 9/11.

Just wait. You've done the whole big battle during this process. No need to fight at last minute

And it's 120 business days..They won't burge until then. So, just wait..

Since they are from IL I would assume the oath will be administered by an IL court....

Not sure why that would be the case.

Do N-400 oaths for the St Louis field office normally use federal court?

I think in STL there are two that does oath ceremonies, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the Eastern District of Missouri's District Court. Probably the Western District does their own around Kansas City region. So that is why i said it probably depends based on where you reside.
