I have filed for a K1 visa and a few days ago, my case was sent to Mumbai Consulate by NVC. The case is in the 'Ready' State. Per the instructions on https://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/en/immigrant-visa#kvisa, I did the following:

- filled and submitted the DS-160

- created profile on https://www.usvisascheduling.com/en-US/

- Paid fees for K1 after creating above profile

Now when I am looking to book the appointments for VAC and Consulate interview, I don't see any link to do so on https://www.usvisascheduling.com/en-US/

Is it because my K1 visa fees was only paid 12 hours ago and that I need to wait for some more time before I see the link to 'schedule appointment'?

Were you able to schedule the appointment for K1 visa? I’m checking every day and it says “No slots available”. Would you mind helping me on this please?

When your case changed to "Ready" did you get an email with PKT3? My case was sent to New Delhi and recently changed to ready but I thought I was supposed to wait for an email with PKT3 before proceeding?

The only email is from NVC and it is sent to the petitioner when NVC sends the case to the embassy/consulate. This email contains an attachment/doc that is titled K1 FTP.

K1 cases are handled by Mumbai consulate (and I digress by saying that in 2022 some cases were handled in Delhi as well). When Mumbai sets the status to “Ready”, we need to start with our DS-160, fees, etc., as explained in ustraveldocs.com

After “Ready”, the beneficiary is supposed to get a paper mail called as a welcome package or P4. This contains FTP letter, copy of approved I-129F and a generic instruction letter with personal details at the top.
You don’t need to wait for this P4 to start with DS-160.

The P4 is needed by some medical sites for health exam appointments but you should call them to confirm it.

Hope this helps.

Yes, thank you! There are folks in other countries who are getting what they are calling PKT3 sent via email after the case status changes to "ready" so I was confused on how to proceed now that our case is "Ready". I was surprised, the letter we received from NVC about our packet being sent to India did not mention Mumbai, it said it was being sent to Delhi, even though we are a K1 visa. Thanks for your help! I will tell my fiance to keep an eye out for the P4 in the mail.
