hi-  So I live outside of saint louis MO (in illinois) with my wife.  We submitted our 485 and 130 etc in march.

She got the employment permit but today i chatted with Emma and found out the 485 is in the detroit field office which is nowhere near me?   marriage based AOS- nothing out of theordinary. No advance parole yet though.

While I doubt every thing said by a tier 1 officer, it is possible the service center is using a field office to process your case.

If there is an interview, I doubt it will be in Detroit.
