Waiting for parents' 485 receipt while i94 about to expire, what to do?

Timeline

Personnel checks have been known to be a problem. Hopefully in your case, it gets accepted. If they reject, use a money order next time. 

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I already told you no

Submitting I-485 means your parents are no longer bona fide non-immigrant/tourists, so they no longer qualify for I-539.

I had all my immigration processes done by checks and only heard about credit cards being declined so maybe it's just taking longer to process it. Give it more time before worrying about it too much.

Jan 22, 2024 - Submitted online 

Jan 22, 2024 - Biometrics waived

Mar 6, 2024 - Interview scheduled for Apr 11 COMBO I-751/N-400

Apr 11, 2024 - Combo interview - approved N-400

May 1, 2024 - Approved ROC, received 10 GC on May 20.

May 7, 2024 - Oath scheduled for June 14 (requested later ceremony at interview)

June 14, 2024 - Special Flag Day Oath ceremony - I'm a citizen!!!

Any data points? I've never hear about this. Personal checks in my experience, was a preferred payment method for USCIS fees.

I think if you search, there was a whole thread about which is better and why.  Might have been a derail off of another thread though.
