Hi everyone, I’m in the process of filing out the N400.

i received a speed ticket last year and paid it before the due date ( less than $200). Where do I disclose this in the application? Is it have you ever been arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement officer?

Thank you!

No need. It doesn't meet the threshold

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I originally answered no on my application. After reading responses here on VJ, I disclosed this to the officer during my interview when she asked me have you ever been arrested, cited, etc. She didn’t think it was a big deal and didn’t ask for further documentation. As long as you being the receipt with you during the interview in case they ask for it, you should be fine.
