Embassy requires extra documents

So I have finished at the embassy.   They actually asked for my husband’s divorce decrees which I didn’t have.  On the checklist it only asked for my divorce decree. Which I had.  So basically the officer who interviewed me said I have had to click the refuses box but all looks good we just need the divorce decrees from your husbands previous marriage.  I have to get them couriered. They kept my passport and will courier all to the service I signed up for.  He said all looks good.  But I am just in a ####### mood right now.  I do hope all is ok.

also a few things were a blur after that. I wasn’t sure if to get all 3 divorce decrees from my husbands previous marriages or just the last one. Anyway I have asked him to get all 3 certified copies from the clerk in the county.  The officer mentioned something about electronically filed but to be honest I guess I blurred a little and my head wasn’t there I was thinking about things. I had no idea what he meant about electronically filed?

I asked my husband to just go get certified copies and have him courier to the embassy.

any advice would be great. Thank you

Get all of them.  I think electronic copies would work, but you already have things in motion to get certified copies.

Good Luck!

I hope all works out at the end.

Get electronic copies and send electronically and also get certified copies and send via courier.

Were any of the previous marriages involved at all with any USCIS immigration processes?

Thank you.

the officer said they won’t accept print offs or ones I have on my phone. He said I need to courier them in.  I got the courier instructions.

so I got my husband to go get the certified copies of the divorce certificates and courier them to me in the uk and then I will use the free courier service the embassy has instructed me to do.

no previous marriages involved with USCIS

This will make the process simpler.

I know of cases where the CO not only asked for divorce certificates, but they also asked for previous marriage certificates, because previous marriage(s) were involved with CR/IR 1 processes.

Did you recieve a 221g piece of paper telling you exactly what they need?

Your profile shows you are applying for EB-1 visa, but this looks like a spousal visa (CR1), is that correct?  If so you need to provide all original prior divorce decrees as should have also been uploaded to NVC before you were DQ'd?  Your husband should not need new copies, just send you the originals of those?
