I-551 Expiry

I lost my green card and the I-551 stamp on my passport will expire early next month. Do I need to renew my I-551? My driver's license will also expire the same day my I-551 expires and it may be a problem upon renewal. I still have no update about my reapplication of green card. It just says receiving your case decision.

You mentioned the DL so it sounds like you need the stamp. It might be worthwhile to search what your state’s DMV requires for renewal.

 

Also, USCIS recently launched an appointment request for the stamp:

And prior to that, USCIS claimed to roll out an ADIT by mail system ( https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/uscis-announces-additional-mail-delivery-process-for-receiving-adit-stamp ), which did not last long because USCIS stopped answering phones.

 

So USCIS rolled out an efficient process and terminated it in favor of an inefficient process. Probably because the efficient process was too costly.

 

OP needs an ADIT. But the expectations of getting one without a WoM (
