:crying: I really need some encouragement here. I am so confused. I saw Joels post about an interview date and decided to call Montreal to check on our status. I was told that they are now issuing interviews for December and January checklists. And that we won't getting an interview letter for another 5 to 8 weeks. Which makes no sense since Pri and Joel and Karen are just before and just after us. Any suggestions on what to do now? I am so miserable here and the little guy wants to be with his Daddy so much I don't think I can hang on and wait anymore. And before all you people who have been waiting longer than me go getting upset and offended I mean me personally I guess I'm just not as able to handle the separation like you. :crying:

I know all this waiting is hard. The last time I saw my husband was last February 10, but it feels like I haven't seen him for a year. At least they told you that you might be getting the interview letter in 5 to 8 weeks. That's better than not knowing anything at all.

Hang in there.

i dont know how much i can cheer you up. i know having a son has got to make this process even harder and no one should judge you for that!!! no matter how long we have all been waiting everyone handles it differently and you should not let others make you feel differently. if want to vent cuz you are hurting...go right ahead!!! and as far as the timeframes they give you...keep in mind that they always tell people the longest possible date so that you dont keep calling. i have been waiting over two weeks now for my petition to reach the NVC and everytime i call they tell me tha they havent received it yet and that it can take up to 90 days!!! i know is not gonna take that long they just tell me tht so that i dont keep calling or get someone else involved like a congressman. so just hang in there as much as you can it your interview will come soon!!! :D

good luck

It is a struggle with the waiting but once you are past it you can look back and enjoy the ride. Good luck with the interview, I hope you get it soon.

Yeah I wouldn't stress too much. They always seem to tell you one thing (normally bad news!) and then out of the blue when you've just resided yourself to a long wait it turns up. It'll happen. My process has taken us 10 months to get here and we didn't have any referals or requests for extra info. They just dragged everything out till the very last day they could.

But I had my interview this morning and it all went perfectly. You'll be there soon and you'll look back on this like huh that wasn't so long at all.

You haven't been forgotten and I think sometimes comparing your timeline isn't the best thing. I did it with mine and was really cross that people from the same service centre and the UK were flying through. Lol I was even at one point thinking oh they're dragging it out just to reject me.

It isn't the case. From being at the embassy today seeing in the space of less than 2 hours them getting through 200 ticket numbers for all different visa types that I was amazed at how quickly they did do it all!

Chin up chook you'll do super!

We have a baby as well and I know what you are talking about.

The only thing that made me happy was having the baby and be there for him - but it was a very hard time. You are so far now, you will have the interview soon. These are the last - maybe - couple of weeks waiting and losing the mind sometimes. But after that you are done and there with your man. So try to stay calm and hang in there. This is the hardest part.

Cheers Anja

08/16/2009 - check cashed

08/28/2009 - received NOA1

09/11/2009 - biometrics in Portland

03/30/2010 - done for the next 10 years.............

I did the exact same thing - sat on hold with Montreal and asked for a status update. I was told "your name is presently on a waiting list to be scheduled" and that they are currently processing packages received at the end of January, which we know isn't true. I asked why then there are people who are receiving interview dates from March, and she said "I don't know, but I can tell you to wait until next week."

So whether that means nothing, or whether it means "I can't really tell you anything but the party line, but expect something next week, wink wink nudge nuge" I don't really know.

I know how you feel. My son is almost 1 year old (in may) and he hasnt met his daddy yet either. Which drives myself and my fiance crazy. I havent seen my fiance in 1 year and 2 months now. I know the feeling, but it will eventually get better.

Hugs,

Tara

You CAN do it, just keep thinking "perspective": Years from now, after many happy years of marriage, this will seem like a little blip in the long journey you're taking together. That's what gets me through the day.

Yeah I know that, but why such a different story in a two week time frame. Two weeks ago it was a May interview now not even an interview letter for 5 to 8 weeks?? Do you think maybe the lady today was just being nasty and didn't even look at the case just read the ever hand quote this speech?

I'm 100% sure they're just reading from their prepared speech. I was told "6-8 weeks" for my NOA2 the day before it arrived in the mail. They just want to keep people from calling.
