Hey All!

Is Affordable Connectivity Program Benefit a part of public charge rule?

My parent is a new low income immigrant. We signed her up for a internet connection and ISP told us about getinternet dot gov program.

Thoughts if new immigrant can apply?

Not sure where you are but for around here they require proof of  SNAP, medicare or medicaid to qualify. Look into what the forms ask for.

A household is eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program if the household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or if a member of the household meets at least one of the criteria below:

But OP,  it is the household income, if she lives with u, its the income of entire household OR

getting medicaid,  SNAP,  Federal housing assistance ,  etc
