I think it is just the weirdest thing and find it so strange that lawyers would say that this is perfectly fine. Just crazy.. Moderators: feel free to lock this topic if needed, I really wouldn’t want to give anybody crazy ideas but just had to share with the family here 😄

I wonder if USCIS/DOS lurks on the Reddit immigration sub like they lurk here…..?   🤔

What was the title of the original post on Reddit? I'm curious to read the replies but I can't find it.

Thanks, it looks like some people have tried to warn them that their plan won't work at least but of course they're not listening.

Yes, I was one of them but I can’t blame her for not listening if (according to her) 3 immigration lawyers told her that this is the way to go. I deleted my comment in which I asked what she thinks CBP will do when her husband presents himself at CBP and tells them “My I-130 got approved so now I am going to file for the I-485 after you let me in”

Sounds like somebody got really bored waiting for I-751 adjudication and started the thread 😃

If they do and see this, reach out to me. I want to work for them, but 6 figures.

This morning, I was thinking. USCIS should employ some of us here in VJ at hourly rate to revise applications and mark as deny/ approve. Cuts work for IO. This will be cheaper for them and also help them speed up processes. So, you just appear at interview and your decision was made months ago...with all questions to be asked.

1. You came on B-2?

2. You were married to XXX

3. Where's the divorce certificate?

4. You have children with XXX.

Basically, we do all the hard work and all IO has to do is know where to go fish answers (from DHS system) but denial/ approval decision that we made still stands.

I will gladly take even $20/hour of my free time to work on cases. Of course, I have my main job.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

there will never be shortage of:  [...]

- Incompetent lawyers

"99% of all lawyers give the rest a bad name."  :P

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The sense of entitlement in that OP is high.

Also dissed the lead mod there (who is right 99.9 percent of the time).

I am predicting expedited removal and a 5 year ban.

100 percent. The USCIS ISOs get forced by their bosses to delete their accounts. The DoS COs post regularly.

Sadly most/all Immigration Lawyers are not aware of the VJ ToS and have not signed up for it.

This one is particularly weird because if you were going to do that why wait for the I 130 to be approved.

Also does not mention all the other stuff that would need to be filed.
