Greetings!

Does purchasing a plane ticket here in the USA via a travel agency online, like for ex. Expedia, is okay without a problem? Like I tried purchasing tickets many times via Expedia but never tried buying through here for someone in the Philippines. Where did you purchase your tickets? Thanks.

I've always bought my and my family members' tickets directly from the airlines through their website.  Avoids any hassle of having to go through 3rd-parties in case of any change in plans.

Btw, if you or any of your family members in the Philippines have a BPI card, there's an online travel sale now.  ANA, JAL, EVA Air are some of the participating airlines.  Only flights originating from the PH are on sale.

Pre-pandemic, I used to buy flights through Expedia without problems. But post-pandemic, I always book directly on the airline's website.

If you're buying the flights for someone else, it's prudent to give them a copy of the credit card you're going to use. Sometimes airline or immigration staff check who booked the tickets (if it's the traveler or someone else).

Book direct from the airlines I implore you.

I booked my flight to the Philippines the first time through booking.com (which is Expedia owned) and I totally got screwed on my return flight and they wouldn't help me. Thankfully the airlines stepped in and I got lucky.

Using a VPN and purchasing it from the Philippines is a better option. Look it up but there are days that are better to book your flights on and a few other rules to help you save money.
