Well, after giving up my hopes since it's been 4 months since we filed our AOS, they transferred my case to CSC today. Isn't it too late for a transfer? Why in the world it took so long for them to do that? I'm not really complaining but I hope it's not going to be a long wait again due to that transfer.

So my case was transferred from MSC to CSC on Oct 30. Then today I check the website and it shows another transfer dated 11/07 to local office. What does that mean? Anyone????

Normally if they transfer it back to the local office, that means you'll be interviewed.

Don't think it means much more other than that.

Gotta love these federal holidays when they don't work on our cases. We are hitting holiday time very quickly and I can only hope the spirit invades them and give us many approvals before the holidays.

Not suprising, that is normal, they have different shifts of caseworkers that go overtime and do know that since there is such a backlog or overload of stuff since July 30 they are working extra hours and holidays in most cases to catch up.

how would i know that my case has been touched? I check my portfolio everyday in my USCIS account and the last update was sept. 17, when they received the response for my RFE after that update I never heard from them anymore.

our case was transferred on 10/15, touched a week later and then touched on 11/9 and then 11/11. The initial transfer said it was being transferred to CSC and we got a hard copy in the mail of that update. A couple days later (after the 10/15 trans to CSC) the message on USCIS changed to:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

Does this mean it was transferred back to a local office? Or does this mean CSC still may have it. I'm trying to understand if this is the message you get if the case is transferred back to local office (which means interview) or not.
