May I ask how long it took you to send back your RFE?

I returned the evidence about 20 days later... not that I think theres a hard and fast rule, but interesting none the less.

If that question was for me... That's "funny", cause I didn't send my RFE back yet. They gave me 87 days to do it and it took me a while to get all the papers I needed for it. Just need one more thing to be certified and than I'll send it back.

Hubby just received his EAD in the mail! Only two days after receiving the email from USCIS saying that the approval notice (actual card) was sent out and we received the card production email on 9/25!

Received my EAD card today!!! :dance:

I noticed that before you get it, you get another notification stating that it was sent..from that point it took foour days to receive in mail!

Finally, some signs of life with the status of my case online! :dance: After a month, they updated it informing me that they received my response to request for initial evidence and resumed processing. Hopefully, I'd get the interview appointment anytime soon... wishful thinking, eh?

Just checked online and our I-765 MSC# is working now but not the I-485 yet... Card Production is ordered as of 10/9 ..So what is the avg. wait now ?

Hm I thought it was just me who got the weird 87 day deadline. It took me about 45 days to get mine in. Took forever. :/

Hm I thought it was just me who got the weird 87 day deadline. It took me about 45 days to get mine in. Took forever. :/

That's nice to hear that there is someone else out there who got the same time limit as me. I had to read that letter like 20 times :wacko: or so just to make sure I got it right, 87 days just seemed so long. But I think they did it to a lot of ppl so they got time to work on other stuff while we gather out papers. That's fine with me though. :blush:

Hi everyone! I know I have been gone in this thread for awhile and here I am updating the situation of my AOS.

I hope you don't mind but I am going to share here my "not so nice experience with my AOS". Ok, here it is....

On September 24, 2007 we received an email from USCIS informing us that there was a letter sent to us but was returned by the post office to them because it's undeliverable. I was pissed off because the email somewhat implied that we transferred and we didn't informed them. The fact is we NEVER moved. We even received the NOA1 in the same address that we are in right now. My husband called them on that day informing them that we aren't moving. He asked what is the letter all about but the representative said he doesn't have any idea at all.

On that same day, I made an Infopass appointment with the USCIS Dallas and was given a September 27, 2007 schedule. We were very fortunate because we were able to talk to a very nice personnel there. At first, the lady instructed us to mail a letter of request to the MSC asking them to mail the letter back to us. But after a couple of minutes, she told us that she will do it instead by emailing the MSC. She said it will reach the MSC's attention faster if she will email the request. She's indeed helpful.

I wasn't really hoping much that we will receive a quick reply from them because of the slow pacing of the process that I observed lately. However, on October 2, 2007 we received a letter from MSC containing an instruction on how to request another biometric schedule and the first biometric schedule that was returned to them was also included. Supposed to be my first biometric was scheduled September 25, 2007. As per instruction, on October 3 we mailed our request for new biometric appointment and I am so happy because two days ago, that was October 10, 2007, I received my new biometric appointment which is scheduled next Friday, October 19, 2007.

Today, October 12, 2007, we received an email from USCIS informing us that they transferred our case to California Service Center.

Sorry for the long story, I just want to share this to you guys.

Ok here is the summary of the updates.

First biometric schedule - September 25, 2007 - mail wasn't delivered and was returned to MSC

Second biometric sched - October 19, 2007

Case transferred to CSC - October 12, 2007

Hope everything will move on smoothly from now on. Crossing my fingers here.

Waiting on my 765. Apparently it was approved before AOS. Twiddling my thumbs. Expecting 485 approval in December based on what info pass appointment told me. Sort of just talking to myself, trying to remain sane during this exceptionally long wait.
