I still am unable to pull my case up on the automated system. I had my biometrics done on the 11th of Sept and I had an RFE that was sent back in last week....go figure!!!!!!!!!!

I can see that my case is on their system but they're not updating it. I had my Biometrics last 9/18 and received an RFE last 9/26, sent back the RFE 9/27 and still no changes on the date they last updated it.

it is really just so frustrating because everything seems so inconsistent!!!

Oh well....just sit back and wait and wait and wait and wait and and and and ...............

Biometrics done 9/28 and EAD card ordered on 9/28. Finally getting somewhere! I wonder if our case will be transferred to California. Anyone else have Atlanta as a service center that got transfered?

We recieved the email today! Our EAD card has been mailed! We also have our interview date for DEC 13 for the 485..YEA!

I'm guessing that we got transfered to Cali because of the backlog at my local office. On the USCIS site, it says that Providence's date for processing AOS is December, 2006, which looks scary! Especially because they seem to be doing a good job of report actual processing dates and have more specific times for other petitions.

So what does this mean? I know that there's a possibilty that we get approed w/out an interview, but I assume that it's also possible for us to be transfered back to Providence if they feel an interview is necessary. And does the clock start again? Meaning, if I want to have an idea of where we stand in comparision to the USCIS site, does the six months AOS processing start from the tranfser date or filing? I know it's not an exact science, but it makes a difference as to whether I think about it starting from the date of filing ((July) and date of transfer (late Sept.).

I wonder if we'll be transferred. Hartford is saying January 2007, but it's been a very easy office to get Infopass appointments out of, so I'm wondering how accurate this is. (As in, when C. needed one, we made it for the next morning.)

Caladan, we got transfered and Providence has a processing date of December 2006, pretty close to Hartford's.

I'm leaning toward this being pretty accurate because if you look at processing dates for other types of petitions, they all vary quite wildly, yet still seem more in line with what I've seen here on VJ. This is in comparision to what I saw during our wait for the K1...both Vermont and Cali generally had 6 mo. listed as processing times, and we all know from the rabid posters from Cali just how inaccurate that was!

But just a feeling on my part.

Mostly at this point I just want the EAD so we can have some semblance of a normal life. It's probably better for USCIS if they don't interview us because I can't think of answers to questions that don't end with 'and it took you forty days to issue a receipt.' Why yes, we do share a joint bank account, for an extra forty days because we needed a receipt!

I checked about 3 hours ago and nothing, so must have been added recently!

OMG... I'm so excited... I just checked uscis.gov and it finally came up with my EAD. It said... Current Status: Card production ordered

I'm so happy!!! I thought that is never gonna happen for me

May I ask how long it took you to send back your RFE?

I returned the evidence about 20 days later... not that I think theres a hard and fast rule, but interesting none the less.

...........and the good news is...........

I can finally check my case online. Yeah!!! The received my RFE back on Oct 4 and now its in the "system".

Now I can check that 1 million times a day!!! goody gumdrops!!!

Oh and it says that my case is with MSC....darn...I'm not gonna be transferred to CSC. So hopefully our interview time will be during the football season and we can go watch a game in Minneapolis. Wish the Viking were doing better... but the seats should be cheaper
