We haven't shown up online yet either. But if you don't get the paper NOA1 for a while, your biometrics will have it as well.

Speaking of, please update me! NOA1 8/30.

And I found out after I got home yesterday that at the biometrics, my hubby jumped from being number 14 in line to being ushered right in because my father was so friendly! He's one of those people who will chat with anyone! Now if only he could come in to our visa interview with us. I'm sure he'll insist on waiting outside at least.

I'm sure you were trying to be funny but I am slightly offended by this comment.

I filed AOS on July 27th and my wife's I-94 expired August 25th... based on my set of facts I am in "worse" shape than you were (due to an already expired I-94 rather than one that will expire in 3 weeks) so I am sorry but I really have no sympathy...

fwaguy...I don't think her freak out came from the simple fact that the checks weren't cashed, but because of the precedent set by their never receiving her K1 papers and having to refile and getting set back a couple of months. If my K1 process hadn't been as smooth as it was, I would have been edgy too because of past screw ups on their part.

Always thought of you as a font of info and level-headedness...didn't expect such crankiness.

He's just jesting, imo - nothing to get offended about. Immigration is a stressful process and I find that joking around eases that. But that's just me, I guess. :)

Wow... I haven't been on here for a few days and I just got shocked (in a very good way) to see that so many of us already got their NOA1!!!! That's awesome guys... We are moving forward!!!! :thumbs:

Oh, I got my 2nd bio. appt. on thursday and I also made an infopass appt. for that day (it's a 3 hore drive for me to the local office) to try to change my name on my papers. I filed for AOS and EAD with my maiden name and I don't feel like waiting till I get approved (hopefully) and than pay them tons of money to have my name changed. I've seen more ppl like that on here so I just wanted to let you know that I'm gonna keep you updatet how it went.

Hi all ... does it seem that they have slowed down a bit on the cashing of those checks?

Just out of curiosity .. how much time do you think that this backlog is this going to delay the AP and EAD from regular timeframes? This really is my biggest concern. (my checks have not been cashed for my son and myself since received date of 08/01/07).

It's hard to judge whether they've slowed down as VJ doesn't have as many filers on 8/1 to tell properly. All I know is that my entire I-129F took half this long to be approved. I'm hoping for something this week.

I think they're still moving, lynamon, but I can't believe I'm having to insist to my family, no, really, I did file, this is your government at work. I don't know if it will slow down AP and EAD, but every month they ####### around is another $6000 we lose as he has a job he's not allowed to work.

Nope, CB. You'd really only need one if you were unsure of the status of your case, or wanted them to fix something (a name on one of the forms, etc).

Chas' biometrics is on 9/20 so we're moving along too. :)
