Hi guys. So, we applied for the K1 visa August of last year and we got a notification that our petition got approved last August 1st this year. Now, it says that if after 30 days we haven't received anything from the NVC, we can email them about it. So we did, and they emailed us back saying they'll notify us once the case is forwarded to the US Embassy, and they also gave us a new case number (correct case number). Now, when I checked our status on CEAC, this is what they said. We don't really get what it means, can you guys help me simplify it or explain it? That would be appreciated.Screenshot2023-09-15100948.png.9afdf84b386a8a2dccbf3c1fc8306607.png

It means your case is still at NVC. Once they forward your case to the embassy, it will update the status of CEAC to “In Transit.” After they ship your case to the embassy, you should also get an email from NVC with your case number and other details in a letter (often called K-1 FTP letter).

Here’s a group for those i-129Fs approved (NOA2) in August as well. People often share tips and notes there.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! We got the status of "in transit" now, and my petitioner also got the email from the NVC about what to do next, but I still haven't gotten anything (the beneficiary) in the mail. Do I have to wait for it before I start with the requirements? Is it possible to just present a screenshot of the email from the NVC that my fiance got?

That is embassy specific. I would contact those from the Philippines and see what the next steps are. Typically, the embassy contact the beneficiary as well with further info.
