I also want to clarify some things: I’m a residents since 2016 and married to US citizen since 2016…so talking about missing files taxes,I’m talking about 2020, because it was COVID times and my husband didn’t filed then (as I figured it out recently)..so now he is figuring things out but it takes time and would like to apply now,before the holidays and elections. 

Yes, you can add documents at any point. It did not delay my interview at all. In fact, a out a week after my final upload, I got my interview notice.

03/20/2018 - NVC received, RDJ assigned 

05/24/2018 - Medical

05/29/2018 - Interview (rescheduled by Consulate for 06/06)

07/21/2018 - POE

07/26/2018 - Wedding day

08/23/2018 - Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)

08/24/2018 - Package received

08/25/2018 - NOA1 for I-130, I-485, I-765

09/07/2018 - Received hard copy of NOA1

10/23/2018 - Biometrics letter notice for I-485 & I-765 & I-131 

11/09/2018 - Biometrics Appointment Done

11/15/2018 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview

01/29/2019 - Request for Initial Evidence  EAD/AP

Combo interviews are for 751s AND naturalization, and they cannot be waived.

January 15, 2020 RFE received

January 30, 2020  RFE response sent

Feb 7: EAD approved and interview scheduled

March 18, 2020 Interview cancelled

April 14th 2020: RFE received

April 29, 2020 Approved without interview

May 1, 2020 Card in hand

 

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS

February 1, 2022 package sent

March 28, 2022 Fingerprints reused

July 18, 2023 approval

July 20, 2023 Card in hand

 

N400 

January 30,2023: Online filing

February 4th, 2023: Biometric appointment

June 15th, 2023: Case actively being reviewed

July 11th, 2023: Interview scheduled.

August 30th, 2023: Interview!

August 31st, 2023: Oath ceremony scheduled.

Sept 19th, 2023: Officially a US citizen!

I'm telling you what she said. I didn't even go in. I showed her we paid our taxes in the waiting room. I stayed with my daughter out there. That was the only thing she wanted to know. No questions were asked of other than Was the 2020 taxes paid? I pulled out the phone and logged on to irs.gov and showed the 0 balance.

 

I know the rules and law. but if you look around nothing is consistent
