No K1, no K2.  Things will stall until you submit the K1 application

I did all of that I'm talking about uploading your information on Traveldocs after you paid the visa fee. I did the child first before the mother. I guess it's typically the mother is first and then the child is attached

Good Morning VJ veterans. I could really seek some sound advice ( Thank you in advance) The other day I was creating a profile on traveldocs. But what took place is I created the k2 before the k1 ( the child will be traveling with the mother)

But what I come to realize is that I should have created the K1 first! I thought that I could change the profile which can't be done. I sent an email information to the people on traveldocs and they responded back to me this morning with this response

(Thank you for writing to the U.S. Visa Service Desk.

We understand that you are requesting to update your profile.

In regards to your query, we would like to confirm, if you have already associated a receipt to your profile it is not possible to make this change, as per the warnings provided throughout the scheduling process.

Please continue with the process that you have chosen and you will receive further directions by the U.S. Embassy regarding the acceptability of your application.

We remind you that the MRV fees are non-refundable and non-transferable from one applicant to another.

Finally, if you have recently renewed your passport, please bring a copy of the passport used to create your profile along with your new passport to the appointment.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/T3G8NJC to share feedback on the services we provide.

Have a pleasant day!

Sincerely,
U.S. Visa Service Desk

My problem was that my fiacee had trouble getting her passport renewal  so I thought I could just start with the K2 first and follow up with the K1

Please can a season veteran help with sound advice

Thank you

I could really seek some advice. Last week I thought I kind of messed up creating the profile on USTravelDoc.

because I created the K2 profile visa first and then realized that I thought I should have done the K1 first. none the less I went into a panic mood..lol

But this morning what I did was just open the K1 Visa under a different email from the K2. and of course, I added the child to the K1.

As well on the K2, I added the mother to the child. do you think there would be any problems with that.. i mean just having two  accounts for each one

of the K1 and K2

Thank you

Just pick one and leave the other alone.

Respectfully, you're probably the only person who has made this so complicated. So, I think you're going to end up being the seasoned veteran who ends up teaching us if your process works or not.

We did everything in order, per the websites' instructions...  We took care of the passports first and then did the DS-160s, set up my fiancee's ustraveldocs profile and then her son's profile on ustraveldocs (under the same account/email), then paid both fees, then entered the receipt information, then scheduled the interview (both my fiancee's K1 and her son's K2 were combined).

I hope everything goes well for you.

well, actually it did work. The embassy contacted me for the K2 Approval. they already know the K1 is attached to it ( the mother) Secondly what happened was I was waiting on the mothers renewal passport.

basically, i did it the other way around ( my mistake ) but it worked ok. i just attached the mother to the child. ( Remember.. they already have your paperwork at the embassy)

right now I'm just waiting on an open date on the calendar
