My fiancee's passport expired in April ( she has been waiting since for her new one ) I'm almost done with the DS160.but my case is in transit and it can be ready at a moment's notice. I should I use the old passport information on the DS160, and when it's time for her interview she could just bring both the old passport and also the new one. she inform me this morning that she could have the new one in 2 weeks.. please advise

On the DS-160, use the information for the passport she has right now.  It's great that you both are working together on the DS-160.

Good Afternoon. Today I went back into the DS160 and tried to put the same date as it was on the passport. but the thing it that it would not let me be the expiring date on it as the passport

So what I did was just put today's date on it. any concerns I should have? TIA

p.s  As of today the case is ready

I don't see an issue.  They will use the valid passport she brings to the interview.

Can I write my current passport, but bring another one to the interview? I thought that in ds-160 I can only write a passport in which a visa will be pasted.

Yes. DS-260s can be updated at the interview.

Good Afternoon VJ, I have a Question. Today I submitted my fiancee's child (K2) on travelDocs today. I got a response from them saying this

(Your request to schedule an appointment has been received and will be reviewed. You will receive an email once your request is approved

My question is are they waiting for me to send the K1 ? ( which is her mother ) Her case is at the embassy in Ghana

My theory is this I said this to someone today ( You know what I think. Being that I sent  Kiley first it probably and more than likely to the embassy or there database as K2 and not K1. that’s why I think they said they will email my request once it’s approved because the system knows it’s a child. Now when Ama gets home to send me a snapshot of her passport I will upload Ama's information attached to Kiley.. That’s my thought process) I could be wrong  in this thinking.. anyone have any thoughts

Btw I will send the K1 as soon as the mother gets home

Thank in advance

There is no such thing as a standalone K2

No K1, no K2.  Things will stall until you submit the K1 application

I understand what you are saying. but in regards to the response back from them in what they were saying.( once it gets approval they will email me )  are they waiting on her mother ?

I don't understand what they mean by that. But more importantly, I will attach her mother along with the child. I guess it's typically the child is attached with the mother
