Confused about B1/B2 exit dates

Hello

Parents arrived on B1/B2 recently and this was stamped on their passport. The class until and i94 online exit dates are same i.e 6 months but the Cbp officer also wrote 2 months with a pen. What does this mean? Can they stay for 6 months or 2 months?

Hmm, well if it was two months, they are overstays.  That being said, the date under the B2 notation should be the appropriate date.  I am curious why the CBP officer noted 2 months above the stamp.  Did your parents only come for a 2 month stay last time?  When was the last time they visited, was it only 2 months ago?  The note may mean something, others may know more.

Agree.  November is end of authorized stay.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

That was my thought, just marked how long they are visiting.
