Haven't had this experience... Can't say I wear heels all the time. My hiking buddies were amazed I wore heels for about an hour at our wedding.

The big question is have you ever broken a heel?

I'm not a heel wearer either...would rather wear birkenstocks or something like that. LOL, I don't think they make a birkie that will go with a wedding dress ;)

Glad you had your hero to catch your fall. I have been there and done that in the past but I had two nice skinned knees. :P Now with kids more laid back and in comfy shoes.

it didn't break all the way off, but the day my heel broke, i was feeling all high and mighty for some reason that i'd never broken a heel ... then while i was walking from the elevator to my apartment, i felt a little more wobbly than normal. when i took them off, it was broken down to the little metal rod in the middle (is that normal for high heels to have a metal rod down the heel?)

only happened once, though.

Oh God I love shoes!!! All kinds and colors...I've got stilettos, in both boots and shoes and in lots of colors...black ,brown, cream, blue, pink suede, lilacy-purple...all kinds! Then I also have a variety of Converse, Puma, Adidas, funky type runners (tennis shoes/trainers), flip flops, cowboy boots, wedge heels....I am a shoe-a-holic!!

I had to leave lots behind in Ireland, as I couldn't take them all with me :( and am not working here, so I play it safe and stay out of shoe shops!

But strangely enough, I'm wearing a tatty old pair of runners today

pfft! don't like high heels... I think they are some evil invention from some twisted male mind... yer feet just ain't made to be at that angle...my idea of bliss would be slippers all day, everyday!

anywhooo...after about an hour in my wedding shoes, which were all of 1 inch high (but pumps...ick)...I took 'em off and walked around barefoot all night...figured it was my wedding, my feet, my choice! LOL Now, if you're talking about dresses with trains on them....I wish I could do that on a regular basis, but barefoot! LOL :P

Kitten heels are definitely the BEST EVER! I love the look of heels but high ones kill my feet. I swear the Isaac Mizrahi kitten heels I got from Target are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
