Interview Cancelled that I already Completed

Hello

Had my I-485 EB interview at Atlanta Field Office last year. Received Noid to file I-601 for fraud and misrepresentation and asked for additional tax documents. Filed it and received approval on July 31 2023. But on August 7 I received a cancellation interview notice that I already attended last year. Then on August 21 received another interview notice scheduled for September 26. Is this possible that they can cancel the interview that I already attended or is it just an error. Has anyone experienced something like this.

Thank you

Could just be a mistake by Atlanta staff ?

I had my interview there - it was organised chaos !

Dozens of interviewees in the waiting room. All arrived on time. All checked in properly but somehow the interviewers had no list of those checked in. We sat there 4 hours before we were called. Just before we got called, an interviewer came into the waiting room and called out "Anybody here with a 9am appt ?" - a guy raised his hand - it was 2pm by then - 5 hrs after his appt time.

There was a laid back feeling in all the staff - nobody seemed motivated.

Atlanta was at 32.5 months wait list when most field offices were half that.

I wonder how much of that is due to incompetence rather than anything else.

We had I-130 approved instantly but are approaching 90 days waiting on I-485 decision.

Yeah it’s crazy. No idea what’s going on. My medicals are expired but don’t know if I should do it again as I have no idea if this interview is scheduled in error and if I might get cancellation notice before my scheduled appointment. As I have read in other forum same things have happened and when they go for interview they are send back as they mention interview was scheduled in error. Maybe you should try to do info pass and find the status of your i 485. I am trying to do infopass as well but no luck in getting appointment.

How did you make appointment to talk to

tier 2  officer. I tried Emma but useless telling me just to follow interview notice.

Call on phone, say "infopass" to automated thing - this gets you to a human. Then just ask them.  I was called back by tier two agent a few hrs later.
