I can get her insurance one month after she arrives here. Money is not really an issue. I really my sister here as I’m working full time and can’t take care of her …

If money is not an issue, you can easily hire someone to help your mother.   Your sister needs to be petitioned properly to come here.

Doesn't sound like it's an emergency for your sister at all. Anyone can do what she is planning to do.

What's the real reason? Be honest, it's so your sister can immigrate here.

First of all, not everyone is as evil as you think and not everyone is trying to come here. My sister is very well off back in the country with her own business. Secondly, I don’t make a dollar being honest or dishonest with you on this forum while my mom  is in dire need for a life saving surgery. Think before you speak. I posted it here so if you guys know anything to help with my mom situation, I would be greatly appreciated. If you want to toy with someone“s life Take your ego and go somewhere else

Go get her

She gets treatment

When she is good to travel she returns to your sister

Damn, you must have found some outstanding yet very expensive insurance that will cover a significant portion of open heart surgery a month after she gets here.

It costs me an arm and two legs to get just fair insurance for my wife, and she is not old.

Just check carefully what is covered and by how much.

We are a crowded family with 11 kids all grown up. If you have a dying mom, money is not an issue. The only thing matter is to save her and take care of her. I can't think of anything else that why I am posting it here for help. Probably counsel a atorney next. Thank you all for your help

But you haven’t answered the question; if it is a TRUE emergency and bringing your sister will take years AND money is not an issue, why not just hire someone here? Or does your sister have highly specific knowledge and skills to help your mom? (In which case she should come on a work visa). I guess my question is: what is it that your sister can do that others can’t?

If you have a 85 years old mom who doesn’t speak any English, never been to a foreign country, never ever eaten Western food, and is so sick she can barely move and may have 1 years to live. Does she want her relative , her kids to be there and take care of her or does she want a random person here that doesn’t even speak her language and can’t cook the traditional food? Does she want to be all by herself with that person for 3-4 months while I am away for work? All alone in the USA 85 years old bed ridden, I don’t think so. She can’t even get on the plane to get here by herself and go back. Someone has to take her around in her own country, let alone the USA

I am not sure what is going on, according to this post she immigrated 2 years ago.

I would strongly recommend you have a Plan B as I do see how your Sister can expect to immigrate in any reasonable time frame.

No … that is a different story, l. … the one we are talking about is still in Vietnam. Never set food here . I appreciate your info. Looks like the embassy may be able to grant an emergency interview with doctors note and documentation from both Emory hospitals and hospitals in vietnam

So the Mother who wants to come to the US is not a US LPR.

That turns things around completely.

Yes a B2 Medical would be the way to go, yes you need documentation including evidence of funds.

There is no Insurance you can buy in a month.

In that case, look to do surgery in Thailand or Singapore. It will be much cheaper than in the US.

Your story does not make sense.   Did you or did you not already petition your mother for an immigrant visa?

My original post. mom has visa to come here. I Petitioned her already. Done interview and everything. She is not in the USA yet cuz she got a heart stem placement recently. I will contact an immigration attorney to see what options we have. We can close this thread and stop this discussion. Thank you all for your info.
