The "batch" of I-751 cases I was in was skipped. No Mandamus, it took additional 5.5 months but everybody in my batch got eventually proceessed.

I say when processing times is 15 months, any approvals that deviate 2-3 months either way (shorter or longer) is still pretty normal. Whether it's worth spending money on WoM or not is a personal decision. In my opinion, only worth if case is delayed by 5-6 months or more. August 2023 filers are only at the mark they start getting processed. I'd start worrying if somebody still waiting in this group in May 2025.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Okay, N=1.

I get my information from a ton of research and collective experiences. May of 2025 is way too long to wait for someone who applied in August of 2023. August has already been passed over. OP would be best served by filing a mandamus as soon as possible, especially with the incoming administration. Like I said, it's very unlikely that anything will happen without significant force on OP's part.

If you read May 2023 thread, some folks are only getting approved now and as far as I know none of them filed WoM:

By the way, I'm not opposing WoM, it's definitely a useful tool. Deciding when to use it is a difficult decision.

Well, that's a single person and we don't know if they did anything to push that forward. I have seen some politicians willing to help. So that could be what pushed things forward. Many politicians are not willing to help (mine included).

Also, if that guy would have filed a lawsuit at the time that he was passed over (which was May of 2024 since the wait time was about a year at that point), then his wife would likely already be in the US by now. Just depends on your priorities I guess.

I went through my Senator’s office when we hit the 14.5 month mark and literally the next day was approved for my mother’s case. Did not need to spend a single penny.

Not everyone has the ability to pay for a lawyer, so they should know about the other options for help available that don’t require any or a lot of money ☺️

Good morning, What method did you use to contact your senator and what information did you give him?

I went to the website of one of the senators of my state and went to help with federal agencies and then help with immigration

I filled out a form and then one of the staff will contact you…

Or you can find their number, call and leave a message saying you need help with USCIS and leave your number and email and they will contact you

This is how my senator’s office did things:

They sent you a privacy form to complete basically giving them permission to talk to USCIS on your behalf. You fill out info like receipt number and names and stuff and then you write a message with what they can do to help. You can say it has been over 15 months and the case has still not been processed or something along those lines.

Print, sign, scan, and email back. Then they will let you know when USCIS replies to them.

Yeah, if you scroll up a bit, you'll see that I also recommended doing that. My state politicians were useless. So we had to go the Mandamus route.

Eso es ridículo. Mi caso ha estado en el mismo centro de servicio desde el 21 de agosto y hasta ahora no he obtenido una aprobación.

It's like a lottery, it depends on the officer who takes your case. Some work slowly, others work quickly. I think that has a lot to do with who takes your case.
