Was very shocked yesterday to find my husband's naturalization interview has been scheduled already. This seems really fast for Baltimore? We did not think it would be until next year! A little nervous but very excited now and he's busy studying. The date is unfortunately during our annual vacation so we will have quite a trip and travel time to make it but it's certainly doable.

 

Is there anything else we need to know or should take with us? We will have to pack it all in our suitcases. Can barely believe it's almost over. :)

Congratulations and good luck to your husband!

 

Check the N400 instructions, there is a list of evidence to bring to the interview (should be the same as listed on the interview NOA).

Congratulations!  I guess the field offices are picking up speed.  Compared to the removal of conditions, this seems like a breeze for sure.  Just bring what is on checklist.  Look over the application for anything you may have forgotten that needs to be amended at interview.  Study the civics questions.  Good luck!

How much leeway do they give you in the wording of the answers? (does he need to say Ben Cardin or Benjamin Cardin?) He's so far gotten very few incorrect when I've asked him, but a couple others he's given the correct answer but the wording is not 100% like the way it's written in the practice test.

 

My favorite wrong answer was for "who is the chief justice?"

 

"Robert Thomas!" He said it so confidently I burst out laughing. He'll get there. :)

I believe they are fairly lenient as I would expect either Ben or Benjamin acceptable.  Heck, they would probably accept just the last name.

That's very quick, for it to happen within 3 months from applying.

 

Here in Florida I'm 2 weeks away from hitting the 3 year mark since I filed my ROC 😏
